As part of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or FASD, Awareness Day, participating restaurants in Juneau will be offering free non-alcoholic beverages to pregnant women on Thursday.
FASDs are a range of disabilities caused by drinking during pregnancy. They include, but are not limited to, birth defects, learning disabilities, behavior problems, brain damage, and heart and kidney problems.
