POLICE AND FIRE

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

* Jack MacKinnon, 20, was arrested for drunk driving at 1:25 a.m. Saturday on Rheinhardt Street. He was also charged with underage drinking and reckless endangerment. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

* Patrick Savland, 43, was arrested for drunk driving at 2 a.m. Saturday at the Salmon Creek trailhead. He was also charged with reckless endangerment and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The vehicle was impounded.

* Michael Norman Stough, 47, was arrested for drunk driving at 3 a.m. on Egan Drive and Tenth Street. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and the vehicle was impounded.

Assaults:

* A 37-year-old woman was arrested for domestic violence at 11:15 p.m. Friday downtown. She was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

* An 18-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence at 6:30 a.m. in Lemon Creek. He was also charged with underage drinking. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Thefts:

* A 29-year-old called at 8 a.m. Friday to report cash had been stolen from a Harris Street business.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

* Several vehicles were damaged by other vehicles on Montana Creek Road sometime before 7 a.m.

Underage drinking:

* An 18-year-old man was arrested for underage drinking at 9 p.m. Friday at Floyd Dryden Middle School. He was released at the scene.

* A 17-year-old girl and boy were arrested for underage drinking at 11:30 p.m. Friday downtown. They were taken to the Johnson Youth Center.

Vehicle accidents:

* A vehicle driven by a 24-year-old woman ran a red light at the intersection of Egan Drive and Riverside Drive at 11:50 a.m. Friday, hitting another vehicle driven by a 58-year-old woman. Both vehicles were towed, but nobody was hurt.

* A 21-year-old woman rearended another vehicle at the McNugget Intersection, causing a three-car accident at 12:50 a.m. Friday. She was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance. Nobody was hurt.

* A 46-year-old woman rearended another vehicle at the intersection of Loop Road and Egan Drive at 2 p.m. She was cited for failure to maintain a safe distance. Nobody was hurt.

Animal encounters:

* Bears were sighted on Friday on Davis Avenue at 4:20 p.m., Nowell Avenue at 7:45 p.m., Nowell Avenue at 8:30 p.m., University Drive at 9:45 p.m., Cinema Drive at 10 p.m., South Franklin Street at 10:15 p.m. and Third Street at 11 p.m.

* Bears were sighted on Saturday at Auke Bay Harbor at 12:44 a.m., Lemon Creek at 1 a.m., Lemon Creek at 3 a.m., South Franklin Street at 5 a.m., Douglas Highway at 5:45 a.m., John Street in Douglas at 6 a.m. and Auke Bay at 6:30 a.m.

Domestic violence calls: 2.

Alcohol-related calls: 6.
