Assaults:
Police arrested a man, 36, for domestic violence assault at 3:39 a.m. Saturday in the Mendenhall Valley area. Police believe alcohol was a factor. The man was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
A man, 27, was arrested for domestic violence assault and interfering with the report of a crime at 3:23 a.m. today in the downtown area. Police believe alcohol was a factor. The man was lodged at the state prison.
Thefts:
Two money boxes were reported stolen at 10:37 a.m. Saturday from Skater's Cabin. The boxes were stolen sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.
A canvas purse was reported stolen at 12:50 p.m. Saturday from Glacier Highway. The purse was valued at $20.
A black wallet was reported stolen at 9 p.m. Saturday from Mendenhall Mall Road.
A Hardrock mountain bike was reported stolen at 11:39 a.m. Sunday from Eagle Street.
A Kenwood stereo, a 600-watt amplifier and an equalizer were reported stolen at 12:50 p.m. Saturday from Irwin Street. The stereo was stolen from a red Honda Civic.
A purse was reported stolen at 1:02 p.m. Sunday from a vehicle near Augustus Brown Way.
A purse was reported stolen at 4:37 p.m. Sunday from Glacier Avenue. The purse was later recovered, emptied of its contents.
A silver Eagle-Bear bracelet was reported stolen at 5:04 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Avenue.
A black wallet and gym bag were reported stolen at 5:08 p.m. Sunday near the Auke Nu trailhead. The items were stolen from a Toyota.

Bears were reported Saturday at 4:17 p.m. near Lemon Creek Manor, 5:17 p.m. near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek and 7:52 p.m. near Douglas Highway.
Bears were reported Sunday at 11:31 a.m. near Glacier Highway, 8:38 p.m. near Aspen Avenue and 11:25 p.m. near Deborah Drive.
Bears were reported today at 1:41 a.m. near Hospital Drive and 6:22 a.m. near Mendenhall Loop Road.
