Merrill Fox steps gingerly over rocks Wednesday near Nugget Falls and the Mendenhall Glacier. Fox and her husband, John Knauf, cruise ship passengers from Minneapolis, were disappointed that their flight-seeing trip over the Juneau Ice Field was canceled due to high winds. But the couple discovered they could take a bus to the glacier, and Fox said it was a "spectacular experience, being able to walk close to the glacier."
