The Juneau-Douglas High School volleyball team leaves Juneau today to begin a road trip through southcentral Alaska.

The Crimson Bear varsity squad will play the Skyview Panthers and Soldotna Stars today at Skyview High School on the Kenai Peninsula. Then Juneau will travel to Kodiak for two days of matches - Friday and Saturday - against the host Bears and the Kenai Kardinals.

Juneau (2-0 Southeast and overall) swept the visiting Ketchikan Kings last weekend in a pair of tough matches. After returning to town, the Crimson Bears will hit the road again the next two weekends for region matches at Sitka on Sept. 17-18, and at Ketchikan on Sept. 24-25.
