Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drug activity:

• An 18-year-old man was cited at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday on Glacier Spur Road and released on a charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance and driving without a valid license. His vehicle was impounded.

Vehicle accidents:

• A woman, 34, reported at about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday she was involved in a two-car collision while backing up at the State Office Building parking garage. The driver of the other car was backing up as well. Total damage was estimated at $2,500. No injuries were reported.

• Police received a report at about 6 p.m. Wednesday that 2002 Honda Civic, driven by a 29-year-old woman, and a 1992 Toyota, driven by a 45-year-old man, were involved in a minor accident on Mendenhall Mall Road. The amount of damage was unknown.


• A man, 47, reported at about 2 p.m. Wednesday that a check was stolen from his 1994 Ford truck in Aurora Harbor.

• A man, 38, reported at about 7:15 a.m. Thursday the theft of a gear shift knob, valued at $50, from his unlocked blue 1984 GMC truck sometime during the night on Dudley Street.

• A woman, 44, reported about 10:24 Thursday that a digital camera, valued at $380; a silver Motorola cell phone, valued, at $215; and a speedometer, worth $100, were stolen from her 2001 Ford somewhere in the Juneau area.

Bear complaints:

• Police received reports of a bear walking at about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the John Street area and another bear walking at about 10 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway.

• Someone reported at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday that a bear ripped a wooden door off an enclosure and got into garbage on Wood Duck Avenue.

• A woman reported at about 6:40 a.m. Thursday that a bear had dragged garbage in the Valley Avenue area.

• A woman reported at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday that two bears were in the Renninger Drive area but were not being aggressive.


• A man, 33, reported at about 7:20 a.m. Thursday that two tires on his 2004 Chevrolet truck were slashed sometime during the night on Aspen Avenue.

Calls related to domestic violence: 0.
