FAIRBANKS - A Fairbanks man is recovering from a leg wound suffered while bear hunting.

Randy Mihm was hit Saturday night when returning to his all-terrain vehicle. The bullet skinned the front of his left thigh, passed between his legs and went through his right leg without hitting anything vital.

Alaska state troopers say the shot was fired accidentally by another hunter.

Mihm says he feels lucky it wasn't worse and says he's grateful to be recovering.
