The Juneau Community Foundation and the Dimond Park Field House Board of Directors are pleased to announce the seasonal opening of the Dimond Park Field House.
The Field House, located at the northwest corner of Dimond Park, adjacent to Thunder Mountain High School, is a community indoor recreation facility built as a project of the Juneau Community Foundation. It is managed by the Dimond Park Field House Board of Directors. Jeremy Gleason continues to serve as the on-site manager.
The facility's operating expenses of approximately $175,000 per year are paid for by a combination of hourly fees, business sponsorships, and individual donations. The Juneau Community Foundation and the Dimond Park Field House Board wish to thank all of our generous facility sponsors whose financial support allows us to maintain a low hourly cost to the many user groups.
Users of the facility include the Juneau School District, Juneau Soccer Club, Midnight Suns baseball and softball programs, high school soccer, baseball, softball, track and cross country teams, adult soccer, Holiday Cup soccer, the University of Alaska Southeast, adult runners, and the Turf for Tots program.
Additional hours are available for rental to the general public by contacting the facility at 523-4910 or online at www.dimondparkfieldhouse.org.
