Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police cited William Stuart Wood, 52, on a charge alleging drunken driving at 9:46 p.m. Monday in Juneau. Police lodged Wood at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he had been driving.

Traffic accidents:

• Police cited a 19-year-old man on a charge alleging careless driving after an accident at 4:11 p.m. Monday near Egan Drive and Vanderbilt Hill Road. The man, driving a 1988 Jeep, struck a 1997 Ford pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old man. The Ford then struck a 1978 Chevy pickup driven by a 36-year-old man. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $5,000. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,000. Damage to the Chevy was estimated at $100.

• Police cited the driver of a 1983 Chevy pickup truck on a charge alleging unsafe backing in an accident reported at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday near Glacier Highway. In the accident, a 1999 Honda reportedly was totaled.

Hit and run:

• A woman reported she discovered her Chevy Silverado was struck by an unknown vehicle at 1:41 p.m. Monday near Auke Lake Way. The Silverado was dented and scraped.

• A man reported his silver 2000 Honda Civic was damaged by a blue or green four-door Chevy at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday while stopped on inbound Egan Drive at Salmon Creek.


• Three pieces of construction equipment were reported vandalized at 6:16 p.m. Monday near Vintage Boulevard. Damage was estimated at several thousand dollars.

• A vehicle's windows were reported broken out at 11:27 p.m. Monday near Seward Street.

• A window of a downtown building was found broken at 5:14 a.m. Tuesday near Seward Street.

• At 9:13 a.m. Tuesday, a woman reported the canvas seat cover in her 2002 Chevy was damaged overnight while parked near Glacier Avenue.


• At 12:34 p.m. Monday, a woman reported her bifold wallet was stolen from her car sometime last week near Glacier Highway.

• A Trek mountain bike was reported stolen at 8:54 a.m. Tuesday at Harris Harbor. The bike was valued at $600.

• At 9:17 a.m. Tuesday, a woman reported a black uplift seat stolen sometime last week near Glacier Highway.

Disorderly conduct:

• Police arrested two men, ages 48 and 52, on charges alleging disorderly conduct at 11:14 p.m. Monday near Hospital Drive.

Animal complaints:

• A man called police at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday to report his dog was injured by a bear on his porch Monday night in the 1500 block of Glacier Highway. Also, a bear was reported at 7:14 a.m. Tuesday wandering through the Threadneedle Street area. Bears also were seen at 10:13 p.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Point Louisa Road and at 10:04 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Glacier Highway.

Crime Line:

Juneau Police received a report on July 20 of items stolen from a Behrends Avenue residence.

Among the things taken were three cases of shotgun shells, a gold-nugget watch with rubies and a sapphire diamond ring. The total loss was reported to be more than $4,500.
