Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Drunken driving:
Police arrested Kimberly Hanger, 21, on a charge alleging drunken driving at 12:42 a.m. Wednesday at the retaining wall on outbound Egan Drive. She was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Hit and run:
At 8:52 a.m. Wednesday, a silver Dodge Caravan was reported to have been struck by an unknown vehicle sometime during the previous night on West Sixth Street. No damage estimate was available.
Thefts:
A woman reported at 3:46 p.m. Tuesday that a purple Fender guitar was taken from her Gladstone Street residence. The guitar was valued at $1,000.
A woman reported at 4:21 p.m. Tuesday that her large-frame silver Giant Warp FE bicycle was stolen earlier in the day near Second Street. The bike was valued at $600.
Police arrested Juneau resident Paul Rodriguez, 32, on a felony charge alleging second-degree theft at 8:28 p.m. near Glacier Highway. Rodriguez was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Vandalism:
At 8:22 a.m. Wednesday, a man reported one side of a building at Third and Seward streets had been spray painted the night before.
Found property:
At 11:58 a.m. Wednesday, a knife found near Alaway Avenue in the Lemon Creek area and determined to belong to a 32-year-old man was turned in to police for safekeeping.
Animal complaints:
Police received a report at 11:21 p.m. Tuesday of a bear sow and two cubs climbing a tree in the 1500 block of Glacier Highway. A bear also was reported at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday wandering in the area of Mendenhall Loop Road.
Other:
About a dozen Capital City Fire and Rescue volunteers responded to a chimney fire at a single-family residence on Sesame Street at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday. According to the department report, the resident's son put out the fire with a garden hose. Firefighters inspected the scene and noted fire damage to the furnace.
Police arrested a 33-year-old man on charges alleging criminal mischief and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday near Willoughby Avenue. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
