Juneau resident Sylvia Ann Kitajima, 29, died Aug. 16, 2005, in Fairbanks.
She was born April 10, 1976, to Sandra June Johnson and Frank Kitajima Sr. in Ketchikan. She went to school and worked in Fairbanks.
She enjoyed long walks with her daughter in the park, picking berries, shopping with her aunt, Marsha Matlock, and music. Her friends and family said she "was well loved and cared a lot for family and friends."
She is survived by her mother, Sandra June Johnson; her daughter, Theresa Ann Embree; her brother, Frank Kitajima Jr.; her grandmother, Sylvia Johnson; her uncle, Sandy Johnson Jr.; her aunts, Ernestine and her husband, Greg Bacon Sr., Marsha and her husband, Charles Matlock, Bernadine Johnson, Kathy Caudle, Penny Johnson, Chris Johnson; her cousins, Gregory Bacon Jr., Leora and her husband, Ryan Blackwell, Dustin Bacon, Kelly Dee Bacon, Billy Bacon, Tylar S.J. Matlock Bacon; and numerous other cousins, aunts and uncles.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 14, at the Northern Lights Church in Juneau.
