The Juneau Lyric Opera Company will hold auditions during the weekend of Sept. 13-14 for its 2009 productions of Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Mikado" and Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro."
Singers and actors are invited to audition for roles in either or both productions.
First auditions will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, and the early afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 14, with callbacks later that day. For the initial audition, singers are encouraged, but not required, to perform a piece of their choice from one of the productions. Or, singers can sing a song or aria of their choice.
Singers who are not in Juneau that weekend may request an alternative audition date, but must provide a CD or cassette tape of appropriate material three to six minutes in length by the audition date. However, it is strongly encouraged that singers audition on those dates if possible.
