Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Domestic violence:

• Police arrested a 33-year-old woman on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 6:20 p.m. Sunday in the Mendenhall Valley.


• Paperwork and corporation stocks were reported stolen at 10 p.m. Sunday by someone who entered an apartment in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue.


• Four fuel tanks and a bicycle were reported stolen in the 8100 block of Erin Street in the valley.

• Fish-cleaning knives and glasses were reported stolen at 5:52 p.m. Sunday from a 2004 Dodge Dakota in the 3100 block of Indian Cove Drive.

Vehicle accidents:

• Two vehicles were involved in an accident at 12:56 p.m. Sunday on the Douglas Bridge. Damage to a 2003 Toyota Corolla driven by a 56-year-old woman was estimated at $7,000. Damage to a 1993 Ford Bronco driven by a 23-year-old woman was estimated at $50. No injuries were reported.

• Damage to a 1991 Toyota 4Runner, driven by a 17-year-old boy, was estimated at $1,000 after an accident at 7:23 a.m. Monday on in-bound Egan Drive at Glacier Highway in the Jordan Creek area. Damage to a 1999 Ford Explorer driven by a 55-year-old man was estimated at $500.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited a 15-year-old boy on a charges of underage drinking and tobacco possession at 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the 9200 block of Cinema Drive in the valley.

Animal encounters:

• A bear that appeared to have a wounded paw reportedly charged an 18-year-old woman at 1:14 a.m. Monday in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Drive in the valley. Also, a bear reportedly broke into a garbage shed and got into litter at 2:41 a.m. Monday in the 8600 block of Hayes Way in the valley. A bear also got into the garbage at 11:23 p.m. Sunday near Amalga Street in the valley. Bears also were reported at 8:37 p.m. near Seventh Street and at 11:11 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West 10th Street downtown.
