Sitka downs Red Raiders to stay perfect in Senior Division

The Cougars rallied from an 18-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Hurricanes 20-18 in Juneau Youth Football League Senior Division action on Saturday at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Field.

The Cougars trailed 18-0 to start the fourth quarter. Jordan Hakala scored on touchdown runs of 17 and 36 yards and Taylor Dalton added a 10-yard TD run in the win.

Jerrick Ibias scored the game-winning two-point conversion following Hakala's second TD.

For the Hurricanes, Vihn Le returned an interception 90 yards for a score and took a handoff 55 yards for another TD.

Wil Jordan Sangster added the Hurricanes' other score, a 17-yard TD run.


Sitka 26, Red Raiders 6

Sitka improved to 2-0 on the season following its win over the Red Raiders.

Chris Clement scored three TDs to pace Sitka. Clement had TD runs of 80 and 22 yards and returned the opening kickoff of the second half 72 yards for another score.

Seth Feldspausch had a 17-yard TD run and Ryne Sorenson added a two-point conversion in the win.

Leka Maka scored the Red Raiders' lone TD on a 65-yard run.


Hawkeyes 22, Tigers 8

The Hawkeyes scored 16 unanswered points to close out a win over the Tigers.

Chris Mack scored three different ways - rushing for a TD, catching a TD pass from Antonio Moreno and tackling a Tigers ballcarrier in the end zone for a safety - for the Hawkeyes.

Samson Nauer added a 64-yard TD run and caught a two-point pass from Antonio Moreno.

John Jolly scored on a 1-yard plunge for the Tigers. Brenyn Marshall added a two-point conversion in defeat.

Huskies 46, Sitka 8

Kohl Jaegger scored three touchdown to pace the Huskies past Sitka.

Jaegger scored TD runs of 52, 37 and 11 yards in the win.

Dartanan Campos had a 1-yard TD run, Demetrius Campos scored form four yards out, Johnny Nichols-McDonald hit Doug Lail on a 36-yard scoring pass and Trevor Pfaff hit Derik Vance on a 10-yard scoring strike to round out the Huskies' TDs.

Trey Williams and Pfaff had two -point conversions in the win.


Cowboys 26, Wildcats 8

The Cowboys scored 26 straight points to knock off the Wildcats.

David Dumesnil, Kaelin Dietrick and Gunnar Schultz all had rushing TDs while Dietrick completed a 22-yard TD pass to Logan Kauai for another score in the win.

Merced Duran had a two-point conversion for the Cowboys.

For the Wildcats, Manase Maake scored on a 60-yard run and Adam Empson rushed in a two-point conversion.

Titans 0, Seahawks 0

The Titans and Seahawks battled to a scoreless draw as neither team could find the end zone.
