JUNEAU - The Juneau World Affairs Council is hosting Dr. Marc Massoud to present on globalization from an accounting point of view at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, at the KTOO.
Massoud is a distinguished professor of accounting at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif. He received his master's degree and doctorate at New York University. His teaching interests include accounting theory and international accounting.
He has written on "Internationalizing the Accounting Profession," "Accounting in Islamic Banking: A Comparative Analysis" and many other topics. He did his undergraduate work at Alexandria University in Egypt.
He is past president of the Institute of Decision Science, The Western Region, Atlantic Economic Society, Association of Government Accountants, Financial Executive Institute, American Accounting Association and Institute of Management Accounting.
