Englesby joins Klawock medical center staff

KLAWOCK - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is pleased to announce that Dr. James N. "Jim" Englesby has joined the medical staff at the Alicia Roberts Medical Center in Klawock.

Englesby arrived in Klawock three months ago as a temporary staff member, but "decided to stick around for awhile." Before coming to Alaska, he spent 30 years with the Truckee Tahoe Medical Group and with the Tahoe Forest Hospital (both in Truckee, Calif.), where he practiced acute care, intensive care and internal medicine.

Englesby earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison, Wis. He completed family practice and internal medicine internships at Harbor General, UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. He has a dual specialty of family medicine and internal medicine, and he is board certified by both the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Englesby enjoys aviation, hiking, cross-country skiing, western history and flyfishing on Prince of Wales Island.

In addition to adding Englesby to its staff, ARMC recently hired several nurses and a paramedic - Linda Connors, Mary Dinon, Lisa Olmstead, Lane Purser and Rob Olmstead, paramedic.
