HAINES - The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is pleased to announce that Dr. Charlotte Cant joined the medical staff at the SEARHC Haines Health Center.
Cant recently completed her residency through the Alaska Family Medicine Residency program in Anchorage, which is a program designed to train physicians to work in rural Alaska. She is board eligible with the American Board of Family Medicine, and recently took her board exams and is waiting for her scores. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society.
"I'm looking forward to helping make Haines a healthier community," Cant said.
She said her first exposure to Alaska involved a summer road trip from Pennsylvania to Alaska, then spending the summer backpacking and touring the state. Her medical interests are patient education, chronic pain and women's health. She enjoys hiking, running, skiing, kayaking, playing the violin/learning to fiddle, cooking and eating.
