Jocelyn K. Marks and Luis E. Ramirez, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony planned for 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at the Northern Light United Church. A reception will follow at 6 p.m. at Chinook's Restaurant at the Goldbelt Hotel. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the wedding and reception.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jim Marks and Kathy Dennis. She is employed as the retail manager for the Mount Roberts Tramway. The groom-elect is the son of Esperanza Ramirez-DeLaCruz. He is employed as a cook at the Hangar on the Wharf and the Twisted Fish restaurants.
The matron of honor will be Carla Casulucan, and Renee Southerland, Cristina Gregory, Sage Marts, and Haley Martin will be the bridesmaids. The best man will be the brother of the groom, Carlos Garcia, Erick Garcia, brother of the groom, Juan Antonio Salazar, Christopher David, brother of the bride, and Francisco Jimenez will be the groomsmen. The ring- bearer will be Jarred Philemonoff, the son of the bride, and the flower girl will be Jessica Casulucan.
The couple will spend their honeymoon in Hawaii and will make their home in Juneau.
