SEACC is impacting my quality of life

I was born and raised in Juneau, graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School and went to technical school in Arizona. In the spring of this year, I returned to Juneau after graduating from technical school, in hopes of finding a well-paying job. When I heard the Kensington Mine was hiring mechanics, I applied and was offered employment.

Sound off on the important issues at

This was my dream, to be able to move back to Juneau after going off to further my education in the Lower 48. A lot of my friends could not return, due to the high cost of living and not having a job to come home to. The Kensington Mine is the reason I can pay off my student loans and stay in Alaska, a state that I love.

We need to support the mine and remind Southeast Alaska Conservation Council that it is affecting my quality of life by filing a temporary injunction against Kensington and trying to interfere with construction.
