Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested a 44-year-old man on a charge of drunken driving at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Front Street downtown. They also charged him with refusing a breath test and impounded the vehicle he was driving.


• At 2:39 p.m. Monday, a mountain bike was reported stolen in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway near the airport.


• Police cited a 26-year-old man on a charge of larceny at 12:26 p.m. Monday in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway.

Hit and run:

• A 2007 Ford Taurus was reported struck while parked at 4:26 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of West Ninth Street downtown. It sustained a broken taillight.

Animal encounters:

• Two bears were reported at 9:18 p.m. Monday in the 9400 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

Calls related to alcohol: 1.

Calls related to domestic violence: 0.
