Thank you, Catwoman, for such an informative article on declawing

Sound off on the important issues at

I want to say thank you to Linda Daniel for writing such an informative article. The general public does not know what is involved in the process of declawing a cat. I myself have declawed cats, and I hated it.

If owners only could witness first hand what it looks like during and after the process. I think owners would forego declawing. There's a reason why your pets are not sent home to owners right away. Your beloved feline is a bloody mess and in terrible pain. It might be a good idea if you could find a veterinarian who would let you watch the surgery before you have it done to your own cat. It would definitely change your mind. Just think, would you like to walk around on your hands with your first knuckle cut off and your nerves exposed? I'm not here to judge anyone either but just think about it.
