... for job well done
Though the replacement of sewer water and storm drains on upper Evergreen Avenue this summer was difficult (if not impossible), it has been accomplished. We would like to publicly thank Miller Construction and all their workers for their successful efforts as well as the pleasant politeness and professionalism with which all the difficulties were overcome. Their cheerful and thoughtful attitudes all summer long were much appreciated.

... for school supplies
The children who receive Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies (AWARE) services were fortunate this year to receive an outpouring of support from the community. AWARE would like to thank all the organizations and individuals who donated school supplies: Juneau School District, SEARHC, PEO Chapter D, and Pat Carr.
By donating school supplies you've sent the message to these children that their education is important and that, in essence, they are important. Thank you for this significant gesture. There was much excitement and pride as the children chose what they needed for the new school year.
AWARE deeply appreciates your continuing support and kindness.

... for donations to AWARE
Every September the Juneau SEARHC staff holds a drive to collect school and shelter supplies to be donated to AWARE. This year we raised more than $500 in supplies and cash. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Baranof Hotel for donating one night's stay. This was won by the newly-married CNA Nellie Kunz-Yakovich. TK McGuire's generously donated Sunday Brunch for two, which will be enjoyed by nurse Willie Tagaban. Health Promotions staff member Christa Lott will enjoy a Bullwinkle's pizza along with Blockbuster videos. Thank you to all the SEARHC employees who contributed to this effort, to the businesses that graciously support our community, and to AWARE for the valuable service they provide.
