I read with interest letters to the editor stating that they don't agree with Wal-Mart economics. I shop at Wal-Mart because of its low prices. And I look forward to the opening of a Wal-Mart Supercenter in spring '08 here in Fairbanks.

It will be good for Interior villages, whose residents have limited incomes, to purchase groceries and reasonably priced clothing at this huge box store.
We all need to pay our way and beyond that look to government and businesses for ideas and recommendations. Unions can be costly; especially in the global market in which American companies must compete. If you increase your educational background, Wal-Mart will pay you more than their $11 wage, which is a good start for a new worker just entering the workforce.
Wal-Mart is a good neighbor. Juneau, enjoy those low prices!
