Empire insensitive to grieving family

Posted: Friday, September 17, 2004

I was appalled at the lack of privacy your paper had for the family of Blake Sanford by putting both a picture and the address of the family that lived in the home of Blake, who met a tragedy on Sunday, Sept. 12.

Since when do we print the addresses of such tragedies for the public to see? The family is already in mourning over the loss of their child (young adult) and need privacy to grieve, not to be treated like some freak show for the town of Juneau to view both in drive-by's and to view in our local newspaper.

Shame on you for your lack of consideration for this family and I certainly hope you don't post my address or my family's address if something tragic were to happen to one of us.
