The

commercial gillnetter Royal Flush sits Monday on a reef near Ketchikan. The vessel developed steering problems and went aground on the reef, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. The owner of the boat radioed the Coast Guard early Monday morning, fearing the vessel would roll over and break up. An Air Station Sitka Jayhawk helicopter crew provided the boat's operator with a dewatering pump. Another boat transported the Royal Flush's owner, who was uninjured, to Ketchikan. The owner contacted a salvage company to remove the 36-foot fishing boat from the rocks.
