Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested a 36-year-old man on a charge of drunken driving at 4:08 a.m. Saturday on Franklin Street downtown. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle he was driving.

Domestic violence:

• Police arrested a 45-year-old man on a charge of criminal mischief related to domestic violence at 6:37 p.m. Thursday in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged him at the state prison.

• Police arrested a 44-year-old man on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 11:32 p.m. Thursday in the Lemon Creek area. They lodged him at the state prison.

• Police arrested a 24-year-old man on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 4:23 p.m. Friday on a charge of domestic-violence assault in the Lemon Creek area. They lodged him at the state prison.

• Police arrested a 39-year-old man on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 10:36 p.m. Friday downtown.

Trespassing:

• Police arrested a 36-year-old man on criminal trespass charges at 12:14 p.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of North Douglas Highway. They lodged him at the state prison.

Theft:

• Prescription medication was reported stolen at 12:10 p.m. Thursday from an unlocked vehicle in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• Two gas tanks and a bicycle were reported stolen at 2:49 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Third Street in Douglas.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 4:21 p.m. Thursday in the Erin Manor subdivision in the valley.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 4:59 p.m. Thursday downtown.

• A wallet holding $50 was reported stolen at 1:07 p.m. Friday in the 3100 block of Channel Drive.

• A 3-gallon gas tank was reported stolen at 4:07 p.m. Friday in the 4000 block of Delta Drive in the valley.

• A bronze eagle statue was reported stolen at 5:34 p.m. Friday the 9400 block of Glacier Highway near the airport.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 11:44 p.m.. Saturday in the 1700 block of Northwood Drive in the valley.

Vandalism:

• An LCD screen valued at $6,000 was reported damaged at 12:01 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of South Franklin Street downtown.

• A 2005 Ford was reported vandalized at 8:26 p.m. Friday on Shattuck Way downtown.

Vehicle accidents:

• A 1994 Ford pickup driven by a 16-year-old boy backed into a parked 2003 Subaru, causing an estimated $1,500 in damage, at 4:14 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Dixon Street downtown.

• At 12:22 p.m. Friday, a 2002 Dodge Caravan reportedly struck an unoccupied 2002 Chevrolet truck at Seward Street downtown. No damage estimate was available.

• Police cited an 18-year-old man on a charge of careless driving after an accident at 4:16 p.m. Friday on Main Street and Egan Drive downtown. He was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier that sustained $1,500 in the accident.

• Police cited a 62-year-old man on a charge of failing to yield while turning left after an accident at 5:09 p.m. Friday on Yandukin Drive. He was driving a 2005 Ford. A 1999 Honda Civic driven by a 33-year-old man sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.

• A 72-year-old Juneau man was taken by ambulance to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries after he was struck by a 2006 Jeep at low speed at 9:55 a.m. Saturday in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway. No information was available on the driver of the Jeep, which sustained minor damage.

Hit and run:

• A 2005 Chevrolet truck was reported struck by an unknown vehicle at 3:41 p.m. Thursday at Front and Main streets downtown.

• A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was reported struck at 1:41 p.m. Friday while parked in the 200 block of Franklin Street downtown.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 3:40 p.m. Saturday on Mendenhall Loop Road near Conifer Lane after citing the driver, a 28-year-old man, on a charge of driving without a license.

Animal encounters:

• A 1997 Mercury Tracer driven by a 44-year-old man reportedly struck a black bear at 12:02 a.m. Friday on inbound Egan Drive near the scenic viewpoint in the Mendenhall Wetlands. The bear was killed. No estimate on the damage done to the driver's side of the vehicle was available. A bear also was sighted at 6:48 p.m. Saturday near East Valley Court.
