No injuries during emergency landing in Bethel

BETHEL - Officials say no one was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing at the Bethel airport.

There were five passengers and the pilot aboard the Piper Navajo.

State transportation officials say the pilot declared an emergency Wednesday afternoon because of a landing gear failure.

The pilot circled the airport to burn off extra fuel, and the nose gear collapsed when the aircraft owned by Grant Aviation landed.
