Making Challenge Day a reality for Thunder Mountain students

Posted: Sunday, September 19, 2010

I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank some awesome people for making Challenge Day a reality at Thunder Mountain High School from Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

Thanks to: the Alaska Division of Behavioral Health, the Association of School Boards (AASB) for their grant for Challenge Day, Timi Tullis for writing the grant that funded Challenge Day, Jenni Lefing for her help coordinating with AASB, Christine Inc. for all their hard work and behind-the-scenes work, Tiffany Mahle, Jessica Ryan and Christine Cullertine for helping to coordinate the event, all the community members who came out, volunteered and participated with the students, all the students who participated in Challenge Day and who have already made a difference in the school and TMHS staff and administration for their support.

My hope is that we keep the "Be the Change" alive!

Margaret Mead said: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

You all rock!
