Driving while intoxicated:
Shortly before 1 a.m. today, Vickie Adams, 43, was arrested for drunken driving on Glacier Avenue. Adams was transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Her vehicle was impounded.
Thefts, lost & found property:
Shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday, a man, 40, reported a black IBM ThinkPad laptop computer (valued at $4,000) in a Hamilton aluminum carrying case ($300) was stolen from his vehicle on Rainbow Row between 11 p.m. Monday and 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.
About 11 a.m. Tuesday, a woman, 64, reported her mailbox contents had been rifled on Rainbow Row. A neighbor found some of her mail in the woods nearby.
Shortly before noon Tuesday, a man, 49, brought to the Juneau Police Department a black Huffy bicycle he had found in the Alaskan & Proud market parking lot. The bike was placed into safekeeping.
About 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, a man, 36, reported finding a red bicycle on Gee Street. The bike was placed into safekeeping at JPD.
About 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters from the downtown fire hall responded to a report of a roof fire on Merchants Wharf. Roofers laying down some new roofing material heated tar with a torch, and the tar ignited. A passerby made the report. The fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived.
About 2:30 a.m. today, firefighters responded to a smoke complaint on Kanat'a Dei Street. There was light fog and smoke in the area; firefighters were unable to locate a source for the smoke.
About 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, a woman, 37, reported a minor motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Fourth and Seward streets. A 1990 Chevy truck operated by a man backed up and struck her 1988 Dodge Colt. Operators exchanged information.
Shortly after noon Tuesday, a woman, 19, reported an accident on Monday involving a 1986 Mazda pickup that struck her parked 1993 Ford pickup on Mendenhall Peninsula Road. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $1,500.
About 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a minor motor vehicle accident on Egan Drive outbound near Sunny Point. The accident involved a 1989 Honda Accord operated by a woman, 37, and a 1997 Honda Accord operated by a woman, 43. Vehicle operators exchanged information.
About 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a woman, 44, reported her 1987 Jeep Cherokee hit by an unknown vehicle while parked in downtown Juneau.
Shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, a woman reported finding a small package containing a suspicious white powder on Seward Street. A police officer responded and retrieved the package.
Shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, police received a complaint about a bear at Kodzoff Acres Mobile Home Park II in the Mendenhall Valley.
Shortly before 11 p.m. Tuesday, police received a complaint about a bear at Churchill Trailer Park.
Shortly before midnight Tuesday, police received a complaint about a bear in a Dumpster in Cedar Park.
About 6:30 a.m. today, police received a report of a bear getting into garbage on Lemon Creek Road.
On Monday, police received two complaints about panhandling downtown. An officer was unable to locate the suspect then, but contacted a man, 45, about 10 a.m. Tuesday and issued him a warning.

Juneau Crime Line Inc. is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or people responsible for the beating death of Daniel Brux-Brown. On May 22, Brux-Brown was found dead at his residence at the Gastineau Apartments. This unsolved homicide remains under intense investigation.
