Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:
Assaults:
* A man, 34, was charged with domestic violence assault at 1:33 a.m. Friday in the downtown area after he was arrested on two outstanding state trooper warrants. He was further charged with interfering with the report of a domestic violence crime. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Thefts:
* Police responded to a report at 8:10 a.m. Thursday near Auke Lake Way of a cell phone stolen from unlocked vehicle parked in front of Chapel By The Lake Church Wednesday night.
* Police responded to a report at 12:19 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway of the theft of a black evening gown.
* A man, 54, was cited for concealment of merchandise at 1:02 p.m. Thursday at the Airport Shopping Center. He was released.
* A woman reported at 4:53 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway that a CB radio was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while parked at a shopping center.
Animal encounters:
* Bears were reported Thursday at 4:06 p.m. near Glacier Highway and 6:45 p.m. near the Goldbelt Hotel.
* Bears were reported today at 12:05 a.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, 2:04 a.m. near Taku Boulevard and 5 a.m. near Fourth Street and Gold Street.
Other:
* Police cited two boys, both 15, and a boy, 16, for tobacco violations at 12:17 p.m. Thursday near Coleman Street and Troy Avenue Trail.
