I endorse Margo Waring as a school board candidate. I have known Margo for the past 10 years. She is an effective leader, has good ideas, sees things through and is a strong advocate for our youth.

Margo has lived in Juneau since 1972. She has worked for years in a variety of jobs for state government, including work that evaluated and expanded opportunities for children with disabilities.

During and after the time her son attended the Juneau School District, she volunteered for 15 years, serving in many capacities, ranging from a reading buddy to a fundraiser. Recently, she served on the school district's task force looking at ways to improve the drop out rate and has been instrumental in getting the College Connection Program started.

Vote for Margo Waring. She relates well to parental concerns, takes time to find helpful solutions, and is attentive to multicultural issues and the needs of children with disabilities. She is familiar with school services and the need to increase vocational opportunities for our youth.
