Assault:

Sound off on the important issues at

• A 16-year-old boy was arrested at about 3:30 p.m. in the 10800 block of Black Bear Road and lodged at the Johnson Youth Center on a charge of assault and criminal mischief.

• A 39-year-old man was arrested on a charge of assault at about 5:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of Douglas Highway. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Shoplifting:

• At about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, police cited a 14-year-old boy for shoplifting in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue and released him to a grandparent.

Theft:

• A black tool pouch and miscellaneous tools worth $200 were reported stolen at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday from a locked 2006 GMC van on Mendenhall Loop Road.

Vandalism:

• Police received a report at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday that someone rifled through a 1992 Isuzu Trooper and inflicted damage while it was in the 4300 block of Taku Boulevard. The cost of the damage was unknown.
