Winter hours begin at visitor center

JUNEAU - The Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center will begin its winter operating hours on Friday.
The center will be open four days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. There is no admission charge in winter.
The Alaska Geographic bookstore will be closed for the winter. The store will be closed on Friday and Saturday this week. The last day to purchase items will be Sunday.
The winter Friday night Fireside programs will resume in January with presentations on various topics.
