KENAI - Alaska State Troopers say they're continuing an investigation of a Kenai traffic crash that killed a 59-year-old local attorney.

Peter Mysing died Sept. 5.

Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters tells the Peninsula Clarion that investigators must review whether something criminal occurred.

Troopers are awaiting toxicology test results, which typically take four to eight weeks.

Mysing was in the passenger seat of his Ford Mustang with 20-year-old driver Elias Cobb and a passenger in the back when it was T-boned by a one-ton pickup driven by 46-year-old Thomas Byers of Anchorage at Overland and Mission avenues in Kenai.

The car was pushed over a curb and into a tattoo shop. The pickup flipped.

Troopers said tat at the time of the accident the car was heading the wrong way on a one-way avenue.
