Approximately 100 honored donors and guests gathered at the ANB Hall in Juneau on Thursday, Sept. 16, to witness recognition of The SEARHC Foundation's first major Charter Donors. Presented at this historical event were commemorative gifts of traditional paddles and prints to those donors contributing $1,000 or more during the foundation's charter period - Oct. 2001 to Sept. 2004.
The SEARHC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit providing charitable awards for SEARHC patients needing help with durable medical goods (dentures, hearing aids, oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, etc.); patient escort travel; and pharmaceuticals. To date the foundation has assisted residents from 15 Southeast Alaska communities with awards exceeding $70,000.
