Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 38-year-old Lisa Ritter on a drunken driving charge at 11:57 p.m. Tuesday in the 17200 block of Glacier Highway, about 17 miles from downtown. Police took her to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and impounded the vehicle she was driving.


• Police arrested 27-year-old Timothy Logue on a felony warrant charging him with second-degree burglary and second-degree theft at 1:19 p.m. Tuesday in the 2000 block of Lemon Creek Road.


• Two juniper trees were reported stolen at 3:16 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Fourth Street.

• A pair of shoes was reported stolen at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue.

• An outboard motor was reported stolen at 7:47 a.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of Fritz Cove Road.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a 44-year-old woman after an accident involving the 1999 Mercedes she was driving and a dump truck at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday on Glacier Highway near Sunny Point. The dump struck, driven by a 57-year-old man, reportedly was not damaged. Damage to the Mercedes was estimated at $2,000.

• Police cited a 23-year-old man on charges of careless driving and carrying no proof of insurance after an accident at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday on outbound Egan Drive and Glacier Highway in the Jordan Creek area. The man was driving a 2002 Dodge Neon, which sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage. A 1994 Chevrolet Blazer, driven by a 47-year-old woman sustained an estimated $2,000 in damage.

• Police cited a 24-year-old woman on charges of careless driving and carrying no proof of insurance after an accident at 3:34 p.m. in the 3700 block of Glacier Highway in the Twin Lakes area. The woman, driving a 1994 Plymouth, which allegedly made a U-turn from the right lane and struck a 1998 Buick Century, driven by an 81-year-old man. Damage was estimated at $1,000 top to the Plymouth and $2,500 to the Buick.

• Police cited a 52-year-old man on a charge of failing to yield while making a left turn at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway near the airport. He was driving a 2004 Dodge pickup that reportedly struck a 2000 Ford. Damage was estimated at $3,000 to the Dodge and $4,000 to the Ford.

• Emergency medical crews evaluated a 22-year-old woman for minor injuries at 1:34 a.m. Wednesday after she reportedly drove a 1996 Chevrolet Metro into a ditch at Lawson Creek Road and Crow Hill Drive in the Douglas area. Damage to the car was estimated at $3,000.

Traffic stops:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 7:58 a.m. Wednesday near Juneau-Douglas High School after citing a 22-year-old woman on a charge of driving without a license.

• Police impounded a vehicle at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday near Diane and Deborah drives after impounding citing a 38-year-old man on a charge of driving without a license.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported getting into trash Wednesday at 12:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Franklin Street and at 3:27 a.m. in the 2800 block of Mendenhall Loop Road. Bears also were reported at 9:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 3200 block of Hospital Drive and at 1:28 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of South Franklin Street.
