Former Juneau resident Belle Pauline Hudson, 90, died Sept. 1, 2006, in Las Vegas.

She was born Dec. 16, 1915. She was the third of four children born to Berger and Petra Wasvick and grew up in Petersburg, until she moved to Juneau and worked as a clerk in the Alaska Legislature. She graduated from Business College in Seattle. In 1939, she married Lou Hudson, of Hudson's Shoes. She lived in Oregon, Texas and Nevada after leaving Juneau.
She lived in Juneau for 25 years. She was a homemaker and retired culinary hostess and cashier.
She was preceded in death by their infant son, Richard Bruce, in 1942; and husband in 1974.
She is survived by her sisters, Julie Palmer, Linda Hudson, of Las Vegas, and Suzanne Bannon, of Houston; brother, Henry Hudson, of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Deidre Drake, Heidi Mullins, Michelle Kozos, Esteban Powell and Scott Bannon; great-grandchildren, Chloe Drake, Alissa Mullins, Gregory Drake, Ben Mullins and Meagan Mullins.
Private services will be Saturday in Las Vegas.
