Teens charged in school vandalism

JUNEAU - Juneau police have arrested two teens suspected of vandalizing an elementary school.

Evan Smith and Charles Dennis Jr., both 18, were arrested Sunday at Glacier Valley Elementary School.

Police say they responded to a call and determined Smith and Dennis had broken into the school through an exterior door.

Police say they vandalized the building with spray paint and rubber cement.

Vandalism also was found in the neighborhood near the school.

Both men were held on felony charges of burglary and criminal mischief.

They also face multiple misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief.

They were jailed at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
