Multiple charges filed in Forestry building break-in

PALMER - Formal charges have been filed against a 27-year-old accused in last month's break-in at a state Division of Forestry building near Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman reported that Stephen E. Foster was charged with burglary, theft, vehicle theft and criminal mischief.

The break-in occurred as Forestry firefighters stationed at the building were battling blazes in the Interior.

Several of them had their personal vehicles stolen. Also taken were computers, chainsaws, car stereos, water pumps and a bicycle.
