ANCHORAGE - A man's body has been found in a wooded area frequented by homeless people in south Anchorage.

Police say a woman flagged down an officer Tuesday afternoon and reported the body off a bike path near Campbell Creek.

The body was found behind a Blockbuster Video store on Dimond Boulevard.

Lt. Dave Parker tells the Anchorage Daily News the body appeared to be that of a white male in his late 30s.

Police Sgt. Ted Smith says there did not appear to be signs of foul play.

The man carried identification but he will not be publicly identified until his next of kin has been notified.
