Juneau police, fire officials, Coast Guard and state troopers reported:
Driving while intoxicated:
Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday, police arrested Tanya Rorem, 28, for drunken driving near the intersection of Franklin and Front Streets. An onlooker, a woman, 36 was arrested on two counts of interfering with an officer and assault on an officer. Both women were transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
Thefts, lost & found items:
About 8:30 a.m. Friday, a woman, 25, reported she had lost her black Nokia cell phone somewhere in Juneau.
Disorderly conduct:
Shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, police observed a fight downtown at the Rendezvous bar. They arrested a woman, 24, for disorderly conduct and for being intoxicated on a licensed premises. The other participant in the fight was a second female, 24.
Underage drinking:
Shortly after midnight Friday, police contacted the operator of a disabled vehicle on Mendenhall Loop Road. They cited a man, 19, for minor consuming of alcohol. He was released at the scene. The vehicle was released to a sober, licensed driver.
Vehicle accidents:
About 5:15 p.m. Friday, police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Egan Drive inbound at Mendenhall Loop Road. Three vehicles were involved. A 1998 Dodge van struck a 2000 Dodge Neon, pushing it into a 1990 red Toyota. The driver of the van, a woman, 43, was cited. The van suffered $2,500 damage. The Neon, operated by a woman, 29, suffered $2,000 damage. The Toyota, driven by a man, 48, suffered $400 damage.
Animal encounters:
About 10:30 a.m. Friday, a citizen reported a bear in his back yard at Lemon Creek Manor. By the time an officer responded, the bear had left.
Shortly before midnight Friday, police received a report of a bear on Steep Place.
Fires:
About 9:30 a.m. Friday, Capital City Fire & Rescue received a report of a fire alarm from the Fiddlehead. The alarm was canceled before firefighters arrived.
Shortly before 4 p.m. Friday, Capital City Fire & Rescue received a report of a fire alarm from Marine View Apartments. The alarm was canceled before firefighting personnel could be dispatched.
Other:
About 8:30 p.m. Friday, a man, 34, was cited for driving downtown while his operator's license was suspended. He was released at the scene. His vehicle was impounded.
