The Tongass Alaska Girl Scout Council would like to thank everyone who helped make our sixth annual "S'More Salmon" salmon bake and dessert auction on Saturday, Sept. 6, a big success. We are grateful for the community's wonderful support of Girl Scouting in Juneau and Southeast Alaska.

We especially want to recognize the event's sponsor, Alaska Travel Adventures, which has generously sponsored this event at the Gold Creek Salmon Bake since its inception. We really appreciate the support of ATA and the staff of the Salmon Bake.

Every year we are amazed by the fabulous and delectable creations that some of Juneau's finest chefs make for us. Thank you to the restaurants and individuals who donated fantastic desserts: Joan Deering at Paradise Bakery, Reecia Wilson at the Hangar on the Wharf, Chef Stef (Stefanie Marnon), Camille Stephens, Rep. Andrea Doll, Gail Ford, Kiana Ford-Junior Girl Scout Troop 14, Nancy DeCherney, Assembly member Jonathan Anderson and Mary Anderson, Teresa Newton, Judy McAllister, Chrystal Smith, Karen Crane, Becca Smith, Dave Brower, Pat McLear, Jesse Kiehl, April Jensen, Carlota and Christy Cuanzon, Nancy Slagle, Mary Siroky, Cynthia Rogers, Jim Sheufelt, Julia Erickson, Little Brownie Bakers, Wal-Mart and Udder Culture. And special thanks go to John Pugh for reprising his role as our dessert auctioneer.

In addition to our CEO Julia Erickson and office manager Teresa Newton, thanks are due to our dedicated Juneau board members - Mary Siroky (Secretary), Candy Brower, Margaret Pugh, Janell Hafner, Carolyn Noe, Jim Sheufelt, Cynthia Rogers - who planned and executed this fun-filled event. These special people, along with our many other volunteers, are committed to ensuring that the Girl Scout program in Southeast Alaska helps girls develop leadership skills and become caring adults who give back to their communities.

Last but certainly not least, thanks to everyone who attended the event and generously supported our dessert auction fundraiser. You truly are making a difference in girls' lives.
