Former Juneau resident Darryel L. Zinn, of Anchorage, died Sept. 11, 2009, at the Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage. He was 52.
Born March 18, 1957, in Juneau, to Chester W. and E. Faye (Kaze) Zinn, he graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School.
He worked as a cook and chef for many years in Juneau, Hoonah and Anchorage before complications from diabetes forced his disability retirement.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester V. Zinn; twin brother, David A. Zinn; and former wife, Sharon (Chilton) Zinn.
He is survived by his mother, E. Faye Bisom and husband, John, of Juneau; four siblings, Linda Peele, of Las Vegas, Richard Zinn and wife, Sher, of Juneau, Dorothea Zinn, of Tucson, Ariz., and Michael Zinn, of Anchorage; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services were held Sept. 18 in Anchorage, with internment at the City Cemetery in Anchorage.
