Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


A man, 36, was arrested for domestic violence assault about 5 p.m. Sunday in the Mendenhall Valley. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

A man, 20, was arrested for assault at 12:20 a.m. today near Lawson Creek Road. He was lodged at state prison.


An unlocked silver boy's Royce Union trick bike, valued at $100, was reported stolen at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.

A silver portable Magnavox CD player, valued at $80, was stolen sometime Saturday night from an unlocked vehicle on First Street in Douglas.

Inhaler medication was reported stolen from a vehicle about noon Sunday on Third Street in Douglas.

An unlocked silver scooter, valued at $90, was reported stolen at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on Front Street.

A red 1987 two-door Subaru was reported stolen at 9:15 p.m. on Ka-See-An Drive.

A bag and wallet were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 9:15 p.m. Sunday on Spruce Street.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

Multiple victims reported vehicles broken into about 2 a.m. Sunday on First Street in Douglas.

Vehicle accidents:

Two women were treated at Bartlett Regional Hospital and released after a vehicle accident at 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Mendenhall Loop Road. A woman, 19, was treated for whiplash and scalp cuts. A woman, 21, was treated for whiplash and a bruised chest. The vehicles were totaled.

Animal encounters:

Police received six reports of bears between 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 a.m. today.


A man, 26, was cited and released at 6:15 p.m. Saturday on Threadneedle Street for driving with a revoked or suspended license. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.

A man, 30, was arrested at 9:15 p.m. Saturday on Foster Avenue on a state troopers' warrant for failing to appear at a court hearing. He was lodged at state prison.

A man, 39, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. Sunday in Pocket Park downtown on an outstanding state troopers' warrant from Ketchikan for failing to comply with alcohol screening. He was lodged at state prison.

A man, 23, was placed under citizen's arrest at 1:40 a.m. Sunday on South Franklin Street for criminal mischief. He was lodged at state prison.

A man, 25, was arrested at 2:10 a.m. Sunday for criminal trespass after refusing to leave the Alaskan Hotel bar. He was also charged with making terroristic threats for his comments to police. He was taken to state prison.
