According to the city clerk, all candidates are elected on an areawide basis, and serve all members of the community. Even though you filed for a specific seat, all voters vote the same ballot. The only time the district issue comes into play is that a candidate for district 1 or district 2 must reside in those districts for a year before the election. Everyone can vote for candidates for City Assembly, and we represent the entire community.
