Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


Shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, a woman, 42, reported losing a black Nokia cell phone in the Juneau area. She estimated the phone's value at $80.

Shortly before 2 p.m. Monday, a man, 45, reported finding a brown Schwinn bicycle at the Waterwheel Building on Third Street in Douglas.

Disorderly conduct:

About 4:30 p.m. Monday, a man, 35, was arrested at the McNugget intersection for disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Shortly after 1 a.m. today, a man, 33, was arrested at the Liquor Barrel for disorderly conduct. He was transported to and lodged at state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

Warrant arrest:

Shortly before 9 a.m. Monday, a man, 20, was arrested on Gastineau Avenue on an outstanding Alaska State Troopers' warrant for failure to appear at court for arraignment. The original charges were driving with a revoked license and being a minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol. The man was transported to the state prison.

Animal encounters:

About 9:30 p.m. Monday, police received a report of a bear in garbage on Hayes Way. The bear had left by the time police arrived. Officers stood by while the owner cleaned up the garbage.

About 3:40 a.m. today, police received a report of a bear on Haloff Street. They assisted the bruin in returning to the woods.


About 5:30 p.m. Monday, Glacier Fire Station received a report of a pedestrian and vehicle accident near the intersection of Mountain and Davis Avenues. When firefighters arrived, they found an injured girl, 13. The girl was not a pedestrian; she had been clinging to the outside of a sport utility vehicle driven by a young man, and had fallen off. She was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment of lacerations. She suffered a lump on the head with a modest abrasion. She was discharged home in stable condition at 9:20 p.m., a Bartlett spokesman said.
