The Juneau-Douglas High School volleyball team faced a tough test at Ketchikan this weekend, but the Crimson Bears persevered to post a two-night sweep of the Kings.
Juneau's varsity squad recovered from a two-game deficit on Friday to beat Kayhi 17-25, 21-25, 25-11, 25-15, 15-10. The Crimson Bears put in a stronger performance on Saturday to beat the Kings 25-11, 25-20, 22-25, 25-18.
The Crimson Bear junior varsity and C teams also swept their Kayhi counterparts both nights.
