4.2 magnitude earthquake felt in Denali National Park area

FAIRBANKS - A light earthquake has been felt in the area of Denali National Park.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday. It was centered 6 miles southeast of Healy.

The center says there's been reports that it was felt in Healy, Denali Park, Cantwell, Nenana and Fairbanks.

However, there were no immediate reports of damage.

It's the second earthquake in the area this week. Early Wednesday morning, another magnitude 4.2 temblor was centered 35 miles west of Cantwell.
