Lindy Jones heads to work in his human-powered bicycle car, or velomobile, made by bluevelo. Enclosed for aerodynamic advantage and protection from the environment and distracted morning commuters Jones can pedal his light-weight three-wheeler from downtown to Salmon Creek in roughly 10 minutes, "which is very good for the cardio," Jones said with a laugh. School children jump up and down when he passes by and motorists do a double take themselves as the bright yellow compact whizzes past.
