Sarah W. Bixby and Chad J. DuBois were married at 4 p.m. on July 24, 2010, at the University of Alaska Southeast's Noyes Pavilion. A reception was held at Centennial Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Al Bixby and Pam Woolcott. She attended UAS, studying marine biology. She is now a graduate student at the Univerisity of California College of Optometry.
The groom is the son of Sally and Skip Lakeman. He works as a youth counselor for the Boys and Girls Club while he attends California State University in Fullerton.
The maid of honor was Brenna Asper-Smith with bridesmaids Krista Heard, Jenny Spurgin, Megan Patino, Emily Smith and junior bridesmaid Andrea Lakeman. The flower girls were Gloria Bixby and Grace McAdoo.
The best man was Matt DuBois with groomsmen Evan Bixby, Booker Drennan, Brandon Thibodeau, Willy Dodd, Barney Schneider, AJ Votion and Dominic Branson served as ushers and Blake Bixby was the ring bearer.
The couple honeymooned in Gustavus and Glacier bay, and they will make their home in Fullerton.
